Day 1: Meet and greet and journey to Bwindi for Gorilla trekking
Our 4 days Uganda safari starts toady! In the morning meet and greet your driver guide and drive off for the ultimate life time experience of the world’s peaceful but endangered mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National park.
We drive is long but is so rewarding, passing through drum making villages and stopping at the equator.
We drive through lake Mburo national park with chances of viewing zebras, ankole long horned cattle and impalas on the way before breaking off for lunch in Mbarara the land of the milk.
After lunch we continue driving through dense Matooke(banana) plantations before arriving at our lodge in Bwindi for the overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking Expedition
The due day is here. After breakfast, we head to the park offices, equipped with enough drinking water, packed lunch as we don’t know how much time we might take during the trek.
We assemble at the visitor center for briefing, getting a gorilla group and meeting our trekking mates. All trekkers gather here to be allocated to groups of 8.
We meet and greet our ranger guide plus our armed escorts offering us protection from wild animals which we might encounter during our Gorilla trekking.
Spend an hour with the gorillas before coming back to the park for graduation and resting back to the lodge.
Day 3: Journey to Kibale for Chimpanzee tracking
After breakfast we drive to Kibale forest national park, passing through Queen Elizabeth national park.
On a lucky day lions, leopards, elephants are seen on this drive in addition to many primates such as; black and white Colobus, red tailed monkeys, baboons, blue monkey and many more others.
There is a remarkable change in vegetation as you drive from forest to super open savanna where much game can be seen.
After Queen Elizabeth continue through Kasese town, a Congo boarder town in the western Uganda popular for the copper mines, coffee growing and cotton before getting to fort portal.
We continue to the kasenda craters, enjoy the beautiful sceneries of the landscape later proceed to Kibale forest.
On Arrival at our lodge in Kibale National park, we check in and rest for the night.
Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking and other primates Tracking
After a morning breakfast, assemble at Kanyancu visitor center in Kibale forest national park for registration and briefing.
After briefing you enter the forest searching for our cousins {chimpanzee} in your groups led by a ranger guide, following their tracks and vocalization.
On locating the Chimps, you will spend 1 hour of interaction with them and then return back to the visitor center to say farewell to Kibale forest national park.
We then embark on a five to six hour journey to Kampala or Entebbe. Lunch on the way. Arriving the evening.

What You need during Gorilla and Chimpanzee trekking
- Water: Gorilla trekking can be very tiresome and you need to refill your tank as the trek goes on. It is advisable to park a few water filtration tablets before you come for the trek.
- Boots: You will need good waterproof comfortable shoes. Some times it rains during the trek, so skid proof shoes can come in handy.
- Rain Jacket: You are advised to carry rain jacket because if rains very often in Bwindi Impenetrable forest
- Snack: You can carry a light snack to give you some energy during the walk in the forest
- Trouser and Shirts Bwindi forest is covered with thick undergrowth, therefore light trousers and long sleeved shirts are advised.
- Socks: You will have to tuck in the trousers into the socks to avoid insects crawling inside.
- Gloves: You will need Gardening gloves because you will be grabbing tree branches, leaves, name it, and some can be thorny.
- Camera: Carry a good camera (no flash for gorillas) to capture this lifetime experience
